UNIT 5 VOCABULARY:

DEFINITIONS:

1. Aubergine: It’s a vegetable. It’s got a purple skin and it’s white inside. 

2. Plums: They’re round or oval and sweet. They’re bigger than cherries. They’re green, yellow, red or purple. 

3. Red pepper:  You can cook it or eat it raw in salad. You can also buy ones that are green, yellow and orange. 

4. Raspberries: They’re small, round, sweet and red. They grow on a bush. 

5. Pineapple: It’s big and oval. It’s brown and yellow and it’s got spiky green leaves at the top. 

6. Spinach: It’s got dark green leaves. You can cook it or eat it raw in salad. 

7. Cauliflower: It’s a vegetable with green leaves and a big white head. 

8. Cherries: They’re small, round and sweet. There are often two together. They can be black or red. 

9. Grapes: They’re small, round and sweet. They’re green, red or purple. 

10. Avocado: It’s green or black and the same shape as a pear.
